Clinton County Training Complex
With collaboration of the City, County, and local donations, the Frankfort Fire Department has created a public safety complex located on the southside of Frankfort.
This facility was a vision from the Emergency Management Director (EMA), Darrell Sanders. He set out to provide a safe and secure facility that all public safety departments could utilize to enhance their training and response procedures. Together, we created a committee to set the project in motion. In 2023, the project was completed and has been utilized weekly on fire training evolutions. There has been a 200% increase with live trainings in 2024, and have increased the knowledge base within the Fire Department to enhance response techniques. In addition to live fire training, there has been additional training for search and rescue, hazmat, confined space, and ladder operations.
