Special Operations Division

The Special Operations Division is commanded by Captain Brady Sorrells. The division is responsible for many different functions at the Frankfort Police Department.

The main functions include: 

  • Training
  • SWAT Team 
  • School Resource Officer Unit
  • Narcotics Unit
  • Crime Scene Unit
  • Code Enforcement

The division is also tasked with developing comprehensive plans for large-scale police operations such as special events, warrant services, and overseeing the plans and personnel involved. 

Captain Sorrells is on our accreditation team and oversees our firearms equipment, procedures, and policies. He also serves as a recruiter with the Frankfort Police Department.
