Neighborhood Voices of Frankfort
The purpose of the Neighborhood Voices of Frankfort program is to foster effective, two-way communication among the mayor, city officials, and neighborhood representatives, thereby supporting responsive and informed governance. Key objectives include:
Promote Information Sharing
- Serve as a reliable channel for timely, accurate information to flow from city leadership to neighborhoods and vice versa
- Keep residents informed about city activities, projects, news, decisions, openings, and closings
Facilitate Communication
- Enable the Mayor and City Officials to engage and communicate directly with the neighborhood representatives
- Educate citizens by sharing factual information on current and upcoming city initiatives
Enpower Neighborhoods
- provide neighborhoods with a platform to voice concerns and suggestions to the Mayor and City Administration
Support Collaborative Problem-Solving
- Collaborate with City Administration to propose effective responses and solutions.
Neighborhood Voices of Frankfort Program Goals
- Ensure that all voices and perspectives of neighborhood residents are heard and considered in local government decision-making
- Addresses issues that directly impact the quality of life for residents, such as public safety, infrastructure, and community services.
- Provide a platform for residents to identify and articulate the needs and challenges facing their neighborhoods
- Facilitate two-way communication between residents and elected officials or government agencies
