Frankfort, Ind. – Following an intense, two-month drug investigation, Frankfort Police Narcotics Detectives served a search warrant at 258 N Van Buren Street resulting in an arrest on Friday.
During search, police arrested Albert T. Thorne III (31) of Frankfort for the preliminary charges of dealing methamphetamine and battery on law enforcement by bodily waste. After executing the search warrant detectives located and seized a sizeable amount of methamphetamine, cash, digital scales, and drug paraphernalia. Shortly after being taken into custody Thorne became verbally abusive and also spat on officers
According to Chief Troy Bacon, “I am very proud of the Narcotics Detectives and the coordinated effort everyone who assisted with the execution of the search warrant. This was a long and complicated investigation that removed another violator off the street.”
“I commend the officers who were assaulted during the arrest. Being spat on is degrading and disgusting. Officers kept their cool, maintained professionalism, and remained focused on the mission”, said Bacon.
Thorne was transported to the Clinton County Jail where he awaits formal charges.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office assisted with executing the search warrant.
