Frankfort Firefighters were dispatched to a fully involved house fire at 2360 West Farmers Gravel Road around 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2019. Upon arrival, firefighters found the house fully involved.
According to Battalion Chief Mike Henry, “Firefighters had the fire under control by 10:30 p.m. with no injuries. The house was a vacant home with no power or gas running to it.
Firefighters continued to work the scene for four hours hitting hot spots to ensure the fire would not reignite. Eight off duty firefighters were called in to provide coverage for the rest of the city. Station 9 and Station 11 were called for mutual aid to supply additional Tankers to the scene.
The fire is still under investigation at this time.
