Frankfort, Ind. – The 39-year-old man entrapped in this morning’s farmhouse fire on Rossville Avenue died at 3:30 p.m. today in Eskenazi Hospital, Frankfort Fire Chief John Kirby announced this evening.
Firefighters had pulled the man from the burning house and CPR was performed on him at the scene prior to him being lifelined to Eskenazi very early this morning. His identity has not been released.
The conditions of the remaining five victims remain unknown at this time.
Firefighters responded to a fully-involved two-story farmhouse fire at 2243 Rossville Avenue at 2:20 a.m. this morning. With mutual aid from Rossville and Mulberry, firefighters had the fire under control by 4:00 a.m.
The fire still is under investigation.
