Residents requested not to leave brush, trash at lift station site

Frankfort, Ind. – Residents are requested not to leave brush and trash at the Wastewater Treatment Plant lift station site near South Maish Road and Wilshire Drive.

According to Street Superintendent Jason Forsythe, signs have been placed at the site prohibiting disposal of brush and trash there.

“Our crews collect brush year-round. Anyone who needs brush picked up simply needs to place it at their curb and call us at 765-659-2912 and our crews will collect it.

“Residents also can bring out brush, bagged leaves and bagged or loose grass clippings to our compost site at 905 Burlington Avenue, Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and on the first and third Saturdays each month from 8:00 a.m. – noon.

“If residents have a tree removal contractor doing work on their property, the contractor is responsible for removing the brush. Otherwise, we appreciate everyone’s cooperation in reaching out to us or visiting our department so our team can assist residents with proper brush collection and disposal,” Forsythe said.
