Frankfort, Ind. – Partnering with The Farmers Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBI), the seventh City-County Leadership Summit will feature a day filled with multiple topics ranging from blight elimination, housing remediation, market rate housing development, place making, development funding and community engagement.
More than 35 community leaders from Frankfort and Clinton County will spend Wednesday, May 31 with community mentor speakers, learning more about housing topics. Following a working lunch where the group will learn about funding resources available for housing through a State of Indiana program, afternoon sessions will feature interactive roundtable discussions.
According to Mayor Chris McBarnes, the event that typically features a single speaker was switched up for this year thanks to a generous offer by The Farmers Bank and FHLBI leaders.
“We are very pleased and appreciative of Farmers Bank President and CEO Karen Gregerson and FHLBI AHP Portfolio Manager Vice President Trish Lewis for offering to collaborate with us on this year’s event. With housing a major issue for our community, we look forward to learning more about market rate housing development and other related issues.
“This year’s Leadership Summit will be an all-day meeting of the minds to create an action plan and the change necessary to make Frankfort and Clinton County an appealing location with safe housing and quality economic development,” McBarnes said.
