Battle of Badges, All-Star games scholarship fundraiser set for April 8

Tickets $5 for all three games

Frankfort, Ind. – In their annual match-up on the hardwood, Frankfort firefighters and police officers will host their annual Battle of the Badges Saturday, April 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Rossville Junior/Senior High School’s gymnasium to raise funds for local scholarships.

Public safety officials are hoping to raise $8,000 to be able to award one senior girl and one senior boy from each of Clinton County’s four high schools with a $1,000 scholarship who participate in the April 8 all-star games.

Following the Battle of the Badges, two all-star games will be played Saturday evening with Clinton County senior girls taking on the Clinton County alumni women at 6:00 p.m., followed by Clinton County senior boys playing against Clinton County alumni men at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Chris McBarnes will coach the  men’s alumni team.

Tickets to see all three games are just $5 per person and can be purchased at Frankfort Fire Department headquarters at 257 South Clay Street and the Frankfort Police Department at 201 West Washington Street. Tickets also may be purchased at the door on game day.

For tickets or to make a scholarship donation, contact the Fire Department at 765-654-4329 or the Police Department at 765-654-4245.

Anyone wishing to make a donation to the scholarship effort can send a check payable to the Frankfort Fire Department with “BotB” in the memo line and mail it to the Fire Department, 201 South Clay Street.

All proceeds from the event, along with donations raised will go toward the scholarships. Those senior all-star girls and boys who apply for the scholarships will be asked to complete a short questionnaire as part of the application process.
