Residential trick-or-treat hours extended to Saturday night

Frankfort, Ind. – With cold temperatures and rain in the forecast for tonight, Frankfort’s official trick-or-treat hours are being extended to 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday night, in addition to 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. tonight.

City officials have extended the hours since parents may believe it’s too cold and rainy for their little ghosts and goblins to be outside tonight.

The Frankfort Fire Department’s open house at their headquarters (257 South Clay Street) will take place as scheduled tonight from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., as well as firefighters distributing candy at all three fire stations (headquarters, Engine Company #2 at 508 North Main Street and Engine Company #3 at 1400 West Barner Street). Police officers will distribute candy at the Police Department at 201 West Washington Street tonight as well.

There will be no candy distribution at the Fire or Police Departments on Saturday evening. The extended trick-or-treat hours on Saturday evening are for residential visits only.

Frankfort Main Street’s Trunk-or-Treat on the Square will happen as scheduled tonight from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
