Operation Spring Clean Up

Mark your calendars!  Operation Spring Clean Up (OSCU) is May 5-9.

We will have all kinds of volunteer opportunities for you and your family:

  • sprucing up various areas of the City and neighborhoods
  • cleaning up trash in our downtown and alleys
  • painting in the City parks
  • planting flowers and trees

Every evening from 5 – 8 p.m., a different area of the community will be improved:

  • Monday, May 5: Green Street Park and Circle Park
  • Tuesday, May 6: Dorner’s Park and Third Street Park
  • Wednesday, May 7: TPA Park
  • Thursday, May 8: Eastside Park
  • Friday, May 9: Downtown Square and surrounding area, followed by a celebration in Veteran’s Park.

In conjunction with OSCU, residents can drop off up to two pickup loads of trash (including two tires) per household free of charge May 5-10 at the Street Department, 905 Burlington Avenue from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and 8:00 a.m. – noon on Saturday. No remodeling, lumber or concrete material will be accepted.
