Kaleb Siebert Day in Frankfort

WHEREAS, on Sunday, June 2, 2013 Kaleb Siebert, his four sisters and his mom were involved in a horrific car accident on Indiana 39; and,

WHEREAS, despite his own burns and other injuries, Kaleb demonstrated extraordinary courage, strength and quick thinking in the aftermath of a traumatic and frightening crash; and,

WHEREAS, Kaleb jumped into action, getting out of his family’s burning van to rescue his four younger sisters, Kassidy, Karina, Klarissa and Kloe; and,

WHEREAS, Kaleb’s brave actions surely saved the lives of his siblings and showed loving dedication, physical strength and true brotherly love beyond his young age; and,

WHEREAS, Kaleb’s heroism was impressive to public safety officials and first responders on the scene of the accident; and,

WHEREAS, the Frankfort community is in awe of Kaleb’s fast actions and bravery in the face of tragedy, recognizing his qualities as proof of the heroic young man he is;

NOW THEREFORE, I, Chris McBarnes, in recognition of Kaleb’s inspirational example of strength, determination, selflessness, courage beyond comprehension and love for his family, do hereby proclaim Tuesday, June 25, 2013
