Resident’s complaint leads to drug arrests

Frankfort, IN – Thanks to a concerned resident’s complaint Thursday night, Frankfort Police responded to a report of a burnt marijuana odor at Stonebridge Apartments and following a thorough investigation, officers arrested 51-year-old Randall K. Ferguson for Dealing Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

Police also arrested 36-year-old Leslie J. Godbey of Nokomis, Florida for Visiting a Common Nuisance and Possession of Marijuana. Both Ferguson and Godbey were taken to the Clinton County Jail and are awaiting formal charges.

Police Chief Troy Bacon credited the concerned resident who reported the marijuana odor and the diligence and professionalism of the officers involved.

“This is a great example of the beneficial result of citizen and police cooperation to disrupt and arrest those responsible for drug usage and sales within our community. A unified effort is what it takes to make Frankfort a safer place to live and visit,” Bacon said.
