Blue and White Day in Frankfort

WHEREAS, the members of the Frankfort High School Boys’ Basketball Team, led by Coach Tom Weeks, worked hard day in and day out throughout the season; and,

WHEREAS, on March 2, 2012, the Frankfort Hot Dogs celebrated their first sectional victory in 15 years; and,

WHEREAS, our local basketball stars will battle for a regional victory on March 10, with plans to leave it all on the basketball court in the hopes of bringing home the regional crown; and,

WHEREAS, Frankfort residents and corporate citizens are very proud of our young, talented athletes and Coach Weeks, with many businesses showing their Hot Dog spirit with window decorations this week; and,

WHEREAS, these fine young men exhibit athletic skills, character, honor and good sportsmanship in representing our City; and,

WHEREAS, Frankfort residents and business owners want to show our Hot Dog pride and school spirit to help honor and raise up the team, wishing them well on Saturday;

NOW THEREFORE, I, Chris McBarnes, in recognition of the High School Boys’ Basketball Regional competition this weekend and our Hot Dogs focused on victory, do hereby proclaim Friday, March 9, 2012 as

Blue and White Day

and encourage all Frankfort citizens whether they be male or female; young or young-at-heart; in school, at home or on the job to wear blue and white attire on Friday to congratulate our Sectional Champs and show these dedicated, powerful, skillful Hot Dog athletes we are very proud of what they accomplished and stand behind them 100% as they strive towards a regional victory.
